For the first time, the Telangana school education department has decided to conduct health checkup of all students as part of the academic calendar for 2018-19, which was approved by Kadiyam Srihari, deputy chief minister and education minister on Wednesday.
According to the academic calendar, all schools have to take necessary measures to conduct health checkup with the help of local primary health centers and take referral cases to the nearby area hospitals. “The health cards have already been printed under cumulative records which need to be filled up and maintain properly. The health check of every child twice in a year is a must. The headmasters must ensure and implement,” reads the calendar.
